Part one of the Design Factory 2009 brief centred around a choice of designer from the Design Cities exhibition. I chose William Morris.

The budget of £5 was spent on 800 assorted rubber bands, a useful household object. These bands were wound together in strands which in turn were wound round each other, producing what I think is an ugly and disturbing umbilical form.
