Bivalve is a record label based in Sheffield which promotes music through physical formats and online muisc videos.

They needed a look which harked back to the great labels of the glory days of record companies such as EMI and Parlophone.

It was logical to use a shell as the main mark, but the reference to listening to shells is consistent with the company's approach to artists and repertoire.

The mark comes into its own on the letterhead; the shell is closed whilst the letter is folded, but opens as the information is revealed.
